"You drink many, you wake up well"

Good old slogan we kept for ouzo in our distillery, which started
its history from Asia Minor, in 1863.
Then, it continues its story in Chios
and in 1937 it was awarded in Thessaloniki
with a silver and gold medal for ouzo
and its liqueur.
Later, Lampros Kakitsis produced
with the same traditional recipe
the family ouzo and enriched it with a 
series of liqueurs with new and original
tastes. So beyond the classic liqueur
mastic, he produced mandarin liqueur,
pomegranate, peach, rose, bergamot
and bitter almond.
In 2009, the distillery dares to con-
taste for the first time
mastic with an eternal rival of it:
the cinnamon. A result of this, is the
patented “cinnamon mastic liqueur”
which quickly became loved by the world
and for which the distillery soon
obtained a Patent Diploma from
the Industrial Property Organization
“OBI”.

 

 

In 2010, the business passes for the
first time in the hands of women, to the
three daughters of Lambros, called
Genovefa, Maria and Georgia,
that kept the advice of their father and following always the same traditional recipes, continued the production of ouzo
without added sugar and liqueurs for the fifth generation in the area
three mills in Vrontados, Chios.

And they certainly don’t rest. Recently, they enriched their range with one more
innovative liqueur. Its name LEMONCHIO. Mastic liqueur with lemon.
A digestive liqueur because of the properties of mastic, that simultaneously cleans our breath and our aftertaste
from a nice meal. This is only one version of many. Because LEMONCHIO can also be enjoyed as a cocktail with our friends since on the back of the label there’s the recipe for the LEMONCHIO cocktail.
